Michelle joined Mowery & Schoenfeld in 2026 as Assurance Services Leader and Partner, taking on a key role in the Firm’s audit practice. She has more than 20 years of public accounting and assurance leadership experience, with a background in strategic planning, change management, and coaching and mentoring.
Michelle is a results-driven leader who has a track record of managing and improving operational results, expanding and enhancing team capacity and performance, supporting professional development, problem solving, and refining internal controls. She has experience handling complex audit engagements for middle-market companies in the manufacturing, professional services, higher education, and nonprofit industries, among others.
Michelle previously served as Partner and Regional Assurance Practice Leader-Midwest at Citrin Cooperman; Head of Audit & Assurance at ORBA; and Managing Director, Audit Solution Delivery and other roles at Grant Thornton LLP. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University.
