We are excited to announce that the National Academy of Public Accounting Professionals (NAPAP) has selected our very own Jeff Mowery as one of the 2015 "Top 10 Public Accounting Professionals" in Illinois!

A primary charter of NAPAP is to recognize and distinguish the Top 10 Public Accounting Professionals in each state. The accountants who make the Top 10 list demonstrate an extensive amount of knowledge, skill, experience, and success in the field of accounting. To achieve this award, the accountants must first be nominated by industry peers or satisfied clients. The nominees are reviewed by the NAPAP research committee, who evaluates candidates based on selection criteria including education, years of experience, areas of expertise, certifications, publications, awards, leadership, and client satisfaction.
Jeff is the managing partner and head of the tax practice at Mowery & Schoenfeld, and is heavily involved in our management and advisory services. He has over twenty-five years of experience working with privately held companies and prosperous individuals in defining and solving a variety of business and complex tax problems. His areas of expertise include business consulting and development, compensation structuring, estate and gift tax planning, financial consulting, complex income tax matters, accounting for income taxes, litigation support, succession planning, and personal financial planning.
Prior to co-founding Mowery & Schoenfeld, Jeff was a tax manager in the Chicago office of Grant Thornton, an attorney at James P. Meade & Associates, and a Partner in Charge of Tax Services for nine years at a CPA firm located in Lake Forest, IL.
