Mowery & Schoenfeld co-founders, Jeff Mowery and Keith Schoenfeld, were inducted into the 2014 Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. This award, given by the University of Illinois at Chicago Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies, recognizes distinguished entrepreneurs who have founded and grown successful, innovative businesses.
Mowery & Schoenfeld, LLC, established in 1996, is a full-service CPA firm located in Lincolnshire, Ill. The firm provides attest, tax and management advisory services to privately held businesses and individuals.
Mowery and Schoenfeld built the firm based on years of experience with large, international firms, coupled with an enthusiasm for building relationships with privately-held companies. In establishing the firm, they saw an opportunity for creative, client-oriented individuals to focus on increasing profitability and wealth through the development of businesses; rather than solely focusing on the historical measurement and compliance work traditionally done by CPA firms.
Mowery & Schoenfeld has grown from three employees to 55 in less than 20 years and was recently named one of the "2014 Fastest-Growing Firms" in the nation by INSIDE Public Accounting. And, for the fourth year in a row, Mowery & Schoenfeld is the proud recipient of the "Best Accounting Firms to Work For" award from Accounting Today.
Mowery, CPA and managing partner of Mowery & Schoenfeld, earned his Bachelor's and Master's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois, his law degree from Loyola University and a Master of Laws in Taxation from DePaul University. Schoenfeld, CPA, is a partner in the audit department and is the firm's practice leader in wealth management. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University.
