Administrative Assistant

Mowery & Schoenfeld is seeking an administrative support professional who is passionate about providing exemplary client service, thrives on maintaining accuracy within detailed work, and is motivated by continuous learning and career development. The Administrative Assistant will provide expertise in following processes, as well as creating and implementing processes around tax return documentation, database management, and other related tax firm paperwork. This role requires an experienced professional who exhibits sound judgement, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic; they value integrity, and it shows in their quality of work.

We seek the following qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in an administrative support function.  Experience in a professional services environment is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstration of strong communication and client service skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills; particularly Excel (minimum of Intermediate level)
  • A strong work ethic with a desire for more responsibility and professional growth
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Possesses a strong sense of urgency to complete responsibilities efficiently and accurately
  • An ability to work in the Lincolnshire office with regularity. This role requires a regular in-office presence with some opportunity for remote work.

Examples of responsibilities include:

  • Uploading of tax documents to firm’s tax program consistent with firm’s policies and procedures.
  • Updating client databases to ensure firm-wide accuracy and create specialized database reports as needed.
  • Efficient preparation of accurate annual reports.
  • Completion of shipping and electronic filing practices.
  • Assistance with scheduling
  • Database management
  • Compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintenance of departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Maintenance of technical competency and in keeping technologically current with changes in the industry.
  • Completion of special projects as assigned.
